The beautiful town of Ílhavo hosts the largest Salted Cod Festival in Portugal every year! For five festive days, thousands of people gathered at Jardim Oudinot to celebrate this icon of Portuguese culture and a symbol of our culinary traditions—a must-have in every Portuguese kitchen.
From the 14th to the 18th of August, Grupeixe was a proud participant at the event, joining forces with the Gafanha Sports Group and the Social Solidarity Association of Gafanha do Carmo, alongside a special show cooking session by Vanessa Alfaro.
The festival, organised by the Ílhavo City Council and the Salted Cod Gastronomy Guild, featured concerts, show cooking events, crafts, lively entertainment, and activities raising awareness about sustainability.
